Processed and freeze-dried in Brazil

Since 1997 extensive research and development has been undertaken by this Brazilian based company to harness the best technology to capture the nutrient value of Açaí making it market-ready for the consumer. In fact they export directly out of the Amazon Rain Forest, unlike most other companies which transport their Acai to the US to process there (which a some loss of potency and efficacy).

In fact this company has been working closely with Brunswick Laboratories in Brazil and the USA to expand knowledge regarding Açaí and antioxidants.

More antioxidants than in Acai Juices

One important fact that has been confirmed is that the only way to preserve antioxidants in Acai is to keep them in a frozen and/or freeze dried state. Unless science comes up with a natural way of preserving antioxidants (anthocyanins) in standard liquid format, it is not possible for Acai juices to keep an equivalent antioxidant content to the freeze-dried Acai powder used in supplements.

The first Worldwide Acai producer

The founder of Universal Taste Inc., Gill Moreira introduced the first Açaí products to the World market in 1998, importing the product into North America in 1999 as part of UT’s Project S.O.S. Amazon Fund, a sustainable program inside the Rain Forest focused on growing and preserving Açaí.
